Dartmoor Pony Oil and sand on canvas 99.5cm x 65cm (39" x 25.5") A Dartmoor Pony walks within a typical Dartmoor landscape. The painting seeks to explore being very much "in tune" with the natural world. The pony becomes totally wild, free from the restraints imposed by mankind. Elements of mystery are apparent: the tunnel (or cave?) to the right of the composition, and the log. What is the significance of these? Does the pony "float", as it might in a dream? I will leave these questions unanswered, and let you, the viewer, draw your own conclusions! SOLD
